Music Sunday
Music Sunday is one of our favorite days of the year! This year’s service is built around three powerful lines found on a cellar wall in Cologne, written by one of nine Jewish people who hid there for four months while Christian friends kept them fed and safe:
“I believe in the sun even when it is not shining.
I believe in love even when it is not felt.
I believe in God even when He is silent.”
Through choir, soloists, instrumentalists, poetry, and prayer, we will gather around the kind of faith that keeps believing in the good—even when it is hard to find.
Come sit with us.
Les Beaux Arts Gallery presents: The Color of Nature
Les Beaux Arts Gallery is celebrating the beginning of the summer with a poetic exhibition by Beverly Miller Orthwein. The exhibition will open on Sunday, May 10, and run through Friday, July 10, 2026.
Orthwein is a watercolor artist inspired by the natural world. Her birds, flowers, and still-life paintings are delicate with a certain freshness. They exude quiet meditation and calmness.
She started her art education with pen and ink studies of landscapes and later embraced watercolor through Chinese brush painting, and has continued to explore its expressive possibilities. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for flora and fauna.
Orthwein earned her BFA from Pratt Institute and further studies at Hammon Art Museum.
She has exhibited in several galleries around and has works in private collections in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Les Beaux Arts Gallery is located in the Round Hill Community Church, 395 Round Hill Road, Greenwich. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; the gallery is closed on Saturdays. Please call ahead [203.869.1091] for holiday hours.
