Worship Services

Worship Service and Church School are Sundays at 10:00 a.m. with childcare available

Our worship service on Sunday morning is an hour during which we slow down, reflect, rejoice, and reconnect with our faith through inspirational scripture readings, sermons, music, and prayer. The simple beauty of the Sanctuary, always adorned with fresh flowers, enhances our spiritual experience. Our ministers put the scripture lessons into context and use them as a basis for their sermons, along with the views of more contemporary theologians, thinkers, and writers to help us understand and react to daily issues in our own lives, our community, and the world. If you are interested in participating in the service, please contact our minister, the Rev. Dr. Edward Horstmann.

Music is an integral part of worship at RHCC. Members of the congregation sing in the choir alongside professional soloists, who also perform as a quartet. Professional instrumentalists are often part of the service. Anthems are selected from the entire history of sacred music, from the earliest hymns to the more contemporary pieces. Experienced choristers are always welcome to join the choir and if interested, should contact the Rev. Dr. Edward Horstmann.

Following the service, people are invited to a time of fellowship in the Parlor, where friends enjoy the company of one another, welcome newcomers, and share coffee and pastries. On many Sundays, a forum or other activity follows the fellowship time, usually ending by noon.

Second Sundays at Round Hill are at 4:00 p.m. on the Second Sunday of the month

Faith, Food, and Fellowship

On the second Sunday of each month we gather for an interactive and intergenerational service of worship. Children are encouraged to participate and the music and messages inspire a wonderful feeling of community. The service is held at 4:00 p.m., which fits nicely into the busy lives of our families.

There is a casual family-style meal served immediately after the service and anyone is welcome to stay for food and fellowship.

We look forward to seeing you at Second Sundays.
