There are many ways to serve and help others in our church community, local community, and beyond. Our outreach involves both financial contributions to worthy organizations and opportunities to volunteer for many of them, as well as here at Round Hill. Four years ago we instituted a major Impact Grant to a local organization doing great work to help children and families. The first recipient, Inspirica in Stamford, used the grant as seed money to fund a new program for educating young children and their families. This year we awarded the Impact Grant to Greenwich United Way, which has been instrumental in helping people in our community in so many ways. We have also awarded grants this year to Greenwich YWCA and Meals on Wheels, Boys and Girls Club of Greenwich, Neighbor to Neighbor, and River House Adult Day Center and Church World Service.
We have an ongoing five-year partnership with Simply Smiles, a Bridgeport-based organization helping families on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. Each summer a group of teenagers and adults spend a week working with children and their parents and helping to make improvements to the infrastructure of their community.
