The Round Hill Community House, built in 1926, is a treasure in the bucolic heart of backcountry Greenwich, representing the warm, welcoming communal gathering spaces of yesteryear. Owned and operated by Round Hill Community Church, the Community House sits on eleven picturesque acres and features all of the amenities you will need for your special event.
Community - what does it mean to you?
Community is a physical space that refers to a place where people can come together.
Upon entry to the Community House, you’ll find yourself in a large, welcoming foyer with full-size coat closets and updated handicap-accessible restrooms. Adjoining the foyer is the versatile main room. Measuring 40' x 62' and comfortably accommodating up to 160 people, it is an open and airy space filled with windows to allow lots of natural light.
The main room has been thoughtfully appointed with many modern amenities including Wi-Fi throughout, a sound system, climate control, a proscenium stage, and a large, industrial kitchen. However, traditional New England charm still abounds with custom-made wainscoting, an oak wood floor, wagonwheel chandeliers and a fully functioning sixteen-foot fieldstone fireplace. A lovely stone patio is located on the back side of the Community House and ample parking is available for up to 120 vehicles in the adjacent parking lot.
Community is a connection, a relationship that you build with people. Community forms naturally around common interests and goals.
Whether it is a family milestone or a sports team dinner, a local nonprofit working toward a financial goal or a school PTA hosting a speaker, they are bound by one thing—a set of shared interests and goals. This commonality draws people together and makes them feel part of something bigger. Community, for many, is about connecting a web of people who care for each other and depend on each other, and what better space in which to celebrate that togetherness than in the Community House?
Community is a feeling of being accepted, loved and safe. It’s a feeling of home.
We invite you to find your feeling of community and home in the Round Hill Community House. Whether your event is big or small, elaborate or simple, extravagant or modest, our staff will work with you to make it memorable.
