Round Hill Community House

397 Round Hill Road, Greenwich CT  203.869.1091

Built in 1926, the Round Hill Community House is a treasure in the heart of backcountry Greenwich.

With a history of broad use by the entire community, the facility still regularly hosts programs and events of interest to all generations:

  • Arts programming year-round(Back Country Jazz, performing artists, dance)
  • Blessing of the Animals service for all creatures great and small
  • Harvest Supper in October, to celebrate together nature’s bounty
  • Halloween Party for young families organized by the Round Hill Association
  • Christmas on Round Hill on the first December weekend, including a Treasure Trove, local arts and crafts for sale, pictures with Santa in his sleigh, and children’s rides on the Round Hill train

Several organizations and individuals help support the Community House financially by renting this beautiful facility for public and private functions, both single-event and longer-term arrangements. Typical functions are corporate or nonprofit Board meetings, educational speakers and civic debates, memorable private celebrations such asweddings, anniversaries, family reunions, birthdays, and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. There are also a few, high quality repeating programs run by private organizations that are open to the public.

Owned and operated by the Round Hill Community Church, the Community House was renovated in 2009, though the rental rates remain affordable to encourage frequent use by and for the community.

The versatile main room measures 40' x 62', accommodating up to 160 people. It features a wood dance floor, modern speakers and sound system, decorative fireplace, chandeliers, and a proscenium stage. Tables and chairs are available upon request.  Off the main room is a bucolic grassy field on one side and stone patio on the other.  Upon entry to the Community House is a welcoming foyer and coat closet, and updated restrooms. The facility includes a large, industrial kitchen and ample parking.
