A native of Missouri, tenor Patrick Hogan attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. He has performed a wide range of operatic roles with renowned companies such as Santa Fe Opera, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Chautauqua Opera, New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, and Springfield Regional Opera.
Formerly a baritone, Mr. Hogan began his tenor career with the role of Lenski in Eugene Onegin at Union Avenue Opera Theatre in 2003. Subsequent roles include Tito (La Clemenza di Tito), Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi), Faust (Faust), Pang (Turandot), Marco (The Gondoliers), Cyril (Princess Ida), The Defendant (Trial by Jury), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), and Danilo (The Merry Widow).
His oratorio credits include performances as the tenor soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Mozart's Requiem, Haydn's Paukenmesse, Mozart's Vespers with various organizations, as well as the tenor soloist in Bach’s Magnificat, Beethoven's Mass in C and Haydn's Creation with the Round Hill Orchestra and Chorus.
Patrick was a 2004 winner of the St. Louis Artist Presentation Society Award, and a two-time regional finalist of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
