Jenny Byxbee, Director of Children's Ministries

Jenny is the manager of the Youth Services Bureau for the Town of Greenwich, responsible for local youth services. While continuing to oversee the coordination and efficient delivery of youth services to meet the changing needs of families in Greenwich, Jenny has expanded her opportunities to apply her considerable talent to address increasing human services needs in our local community through her company, Byxbee Finn & McLaughlin, LLC. She spent eleven years at the Greenwich United Way, and in her last year there she assumed the role of Director of Community Impact. Prior to this past year, Jenny served as Youth Services Bureau Coordinator, responsible for local youth services through a private/public partnership between the United Way, the Town of Greenwich, and the State Department of Education.

Jenny’s accomplishments include starting many town programs including Juvenile Review Board, Reading Champions, and the First Selectman’s Youth Commission. She has received several awards including, most recently, the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce R. Michael Dunne Quality of Life Award (2016). Her philanthropic activities include the Junior League of Greenwich’s Advisory Board (2005-present); Founder and Event Director Greenwich Wiffle Ball Tournament (2007-2014); Co-Chair School Readiness Council for the Town of Greenwich (2013-2015); active member of her parish.

In addition to all of this rich professional experience, Jenny and her husband Rich have two beautiful daughters, Katie and Libbie, who both attend Greenwich Country Day School. The Byxbee family lives in Greenwich and is active in the community.

Jenny brings a contagious spirit of vibrancy and dynamism that will help our congregation to continue to grow and expand as a force for good in our community. Additionally, Jenny’s prior congregational experience and personal faith inspire her vision to see our children flourish in life and faith.
