Dr. Kathryn Tanner Addresses "Theology and the Financial Crisis" at a 2012 Forum

Forums often take place after the Sunday worship service and coffee hour and usually end by noon. Here are some highlights from the past year:

• Film screenings (homework stress, prison conditions, Wall Street conspiracy) with local producers present for disucssion
• "Theology and the Financial Crisis" with Dr. Kathryn Tanner, Yale Divinity School
• Lenten supper and study series on "Gospeled Lives," based on the book by John Indermark
• Meditation group every Thursday evening led by Rev. Douglas Miller
• "Understanding Communion" for adults and children
• "Loss and Grief" with Sam Deibler, Director of Greenwich Commission on Aging
• "Eating - A Spriitual Retreat," with organic chef and theologian Lise Worthington
• Spirituality and Literature with Dr. Lee Schlesinger, SUNY Purchase
• Peace Building with Dot Maver, president of the National Peace Academy
• Ethics and Animals, with Paul Waldau
• Discussion of international immigration issues with Cathleen Caron, Director of Global Workers Justice Alliance
