The
celebration of music is an important part of the worship experience here.
Our adult choir is enhanced by professional soloists who work alongside
church members to create remarkable music. Special recitals and concerts,
often with instrumental accompaniment, are given throughout the year.
New members are always welcome in the choir.
Art, like music, enhances our appreciation of the world around us and
enriches our celebration of God. Excellent artists from our region display
regularly in Les Beaux Arts Gallery.
The life of our church is full and varied. With the Center for Faith Development
there are many opportunities to grow and learn, as well as to serve through
a variety of programs for all ages. Forums on a wide range of topics are
held regularly after the Sunday service and many other small group ministries
meet at other times. Once a year we invite a prominent speaker to explore
the interface between spiritual values and contemporary culture during
our Thorne Lecture.
The Church School offers classes for children and youth from three years
of age through eighth grade during the Sunday service and childcare is
available for babies and toddlers.
We are committed to reaching out to those in need and allocate at least 10 percent of our annual budget toward making a difference. The Benevolence and Outreach Committee provides leadership, funding, and hands-on projects to this end.
